The faculty of Pharmacy comprises eight scientific Departments
1- Department of Pharmaceutics  & Industrial Pharmacy.
2- Department of  Pharmacology  and Toxicology .
3- Department of Pharmacognosy & Medicinal plants.
4- Department of Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry.
5- Department of Microbiology & Immunology.
6- Department of Analytical Chemistry. 
7- Department of Biochemistry.

The department affords courses in compounding the prescription, physical pharmacy, different pharmaceutical drug forms, hospital pharmacy and clinical pharmacy . 
The department affords courses in human physiology, drug action, mechanism of drug action, different drugs affecting body organs, toxicity of the different drugs, bioassay of drugs , biostatistics and drug discovery.
The department affords courses in medicinal plants description, microscopical  description of pharmacopeal drugs , phytochemical analysis of natural drugs, chromatographic techniques of separation,
Applied  spectroscopic techniques , biotechnology and plant cell tissue culture.
The department affords courses in basic organic chemistry , organic reaction mechanism, heterocyclic chemistry, aromatic chemistry, preparation of pharmaceutical raw material, spectroscopy of organic compounds
    The department affords courses in medical microbiology, parasitology, biotechnology, immunology, serology, pharmaceutical microbiology, sterilization, virology and  hygiene .
     The department affords courses in physical chemistry, qualitative analysis,  quantitative analysis, analysis of water and oils.

  The department affords courses in basic and clinical biochemistry .
 
The department affords courses in analysis of  pharmaceutical  preparations , basic synthetic methods of chemical drugs, SAR of chemical drugs, basic chemistry of drugs affecting the different body organs, drug design, drug metabolism and  routes to drug discovery.
