The Dean:

We are proud that the faculty has a strong reputation and brand name here and overseas (1220 foreign graduates), but we are conscious also that as a specialist college we have much to share and to learn from our sister, here and abroad.

Very truly, I rely heavily on the expert advice of my colleagues in the faculty and in particular members of faculty council whom l thank for their excellent continuous support.

At present, we now running two curricula : the B.Pharm old curriculum (started 1978) and the new curriculum which was approved by the SCU in 2004 involving many recent courses and global professional techniques and topics.

The faculty has come a long way since 1976 where we have had only one building , we now occupy three complex buildings. Then in the year 2000 the annual undergraduate intake was 1000 students and the total number of enrolled students reached 4800

However, difficult times do not last forever. Towards the end of the 2000 funds stared flowing more freely, especially during the deanship of Prof. Dr. Maher el-Domiaty ( the current university president) where the largest development has come with increasing the physical capacity of the faculty by the addition of the fourth floor in the laboratory building, and the re-structuring of the factory building by addition of new laboratories, lecture and administration facilities.

Only the last year 2004/2005, the faculty has established a unit for performance appraisal and quality assurance to actively implement an internal quality assurance system in order to establish a better quality educational system..

In closing, l can only gratitude the president of the university to all the free facilities allocated to the faculty of pharmacy such a worthwhile place to study.
