Programme Admission Requirements:
The admission to the program requires general secondary school certificate with major in biology and chemistry, or an equivalent certificate from a foreign institute recognized by the university.
Admission criteria:
The faculty accepts the following:
- A satisfactory standard in chemistry and at least one other science subject, essentially biology
- A strong academic reference, at high school marks of > 96
The program grading system :
Marks allocated to the semester's work are 33% of the total marks. This includes mainly the practical examination, together with periodical quizzes and sheet examination (pre-lab.), some assignment as essays or library report, practical session's attendance rate and performance of the practical work.
Final written examination accounts for 75 % of the total marks.
Oral examination for 20 %.
In order for a student to sit in the final written and oral examinations, he/her must have an attendance rate of at least 75% of the practical sessions.
Student could not be graduated without accomplishing a 300 hrs summer training, which is not, reflected in his/her grades, but is compulsory for graduation.
The English language is used in assessment, the same of that of teaching with few exceptions (psychology, pharmacy legislation, pharmacy administration, human rights).
