At present, The faculty apparentely encourages the members to be actively engaged in very promising research areas in particulars the molecular biology and genetic engineering fields. In fact, more than 200 medicinal agents has been marketed since 2000.
In this concern very encouraging some members have essential publication in this areas.

In addition, the faculty members are also eligible for application for the annual state prizes provided by the national Academy for Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), covering several distinguished research areas. The laureates (winners) usually receive their prizes in a big celebration honored by the Egyptian President
Concerning the research activities, the number and specialties of the faculty members are sufficiently enough to interact and supervise the number of teaching assistants and postgraduate students in completing their MSc and PhDs`. In this connection, unfortunately no funded research projects in any department and there is no research plan in the different departments or the faculty. In addition, there are no collaboration or research activities interdepartmental except for minor collaboration of the graduate students during completing their MSc. & Ph.D. (see: research & scholastic activities).
