A- Academic support:

ix- There is no support to the students of low academic records or at risk to fail.

ix- Unfortunately, no private recreation room and rest rooms(W.C.) for girls is available due to the limited infrastructure of the faculty.

B- Pastoral support:

i-At present, no tutorial system is applied in the faculty, either on the individual or groups level.

ii-Bylaws, there is a timetable for active participation and involvement of the faculty members on the students' practical sessions for each laboratory period.

iii-Every laboratory session is supervised by: A Professor, an Ass. Professor, a lecturer, TA and an instructor (see table 17).

iv-No system or policies are existing to identify students who are at risk of failure nor is a report on the laboratory attendance publicized in the departments (monthly).

v- Student summer training (in different pharmaceutical organizations) is mandatory for every student (300 hr).

vi- A student guide is available for most of students at the office of students' affairs, for free.

vii- No policies in the faculty to identify distinguished and talent student.

viii- Meanwhile, the minister of higher education (MOHE) bylaws states an annual financial support to distinguished students as follows:

- Students with excellent grades 120 LE

- Students with very good grades 84 LE

vi- Each student has the chance to participate in different cultural, sportive, artistics, social, ascotic and camping activities within the faculty.

i- All students are fully covered (unlimited) by health insurance in the different university hospitals.

ii-The university housing is available at very small rate (65 LE / month) to all the university students from other governorates including pharmacy students , particularly for girls.

iii-The tuition and fees paid annually by students are feasible for most of the students (? 60 LE).

iv-The university regularly supports the tuition of accommodation in the university hostel for students coming from low income families (68,000 LE).

v-The university restaurant provides the students with healthy reduced meals daily (for 1.0 LE).

The majority of students are participating in the activities of the union.

National camps and students exchange between our faculty and other faculties with mutual interests in different Universities are usually held.

In the academic year 2004 / 2005, several achievements have been performed as for instance:

i-Organization of student reception for the first year students honored by the president of the University and the faculty members.

ii-A festival for the student's groups and families.

iii-The faculty has celebrated "Orphan's Day" .

iv-The faculty has celebrated Ramadan breakfast day honored by the presidents of university with the attendance of 100 students.

v-Financial support for unable (poor) students is sponsored by Social Solidarity Fund (SSF) in the faculty (46,000 LE per 937 students).

vi-Also, a financial support for handicap students was provided, compensatory instruments (26,000 LE), stethoscopes (34,000 LE) and transportation bikes and motors (47,000 LE).

vii-There is an internal medicine clinic (with one-physician and one-service personnel) private for the faculty, provided with sufficient and suitable drug store (a pharmacy).

viii-Mail room is available, for students and staff.

C- Student union programme:

During the last few years, (2000-2005) outstanding student's activities took place in the faculty. There is formulation and activation of students' organizations (ZSAPS )and groups under the auspice of faculty members to enrich the educational experience and improve students' perceptions (see: student support under educational programme )
